Cuppycake's America's Next Top Model, CYCLE 1 - EPISODE 3 IS UP

First of all, I wanted to say how brilliant and inspiring all of the other shows on here are. They're so fun to read and follow along with, and you guys rock.

Okay, I'm finally starting my show. I won't make individual images for each shoot, but I have made images (that's why it took so long) so you know what the girls look like! Also, every now and then, I might draw the picture of the best girl in each shoot. I will definately be updating the girls' shots with makeover shots, so you guys can better visualize their makeovers. (And so you won't have to look at their tacky clothes anymore!)

So here are my Cycle 1 girls! Judge them on their look, their potentiel, their story, whatever, but don't judge on the pose or fiereceness of their shots, because that's my fault. I was running out of poses, and I wanted to make them different so some are very strange!

AMELIA

20, 5'9

Amelia is a rebellious girl. She is coming into the competition hoping to find a career where she
can express herself. Growing up in a small town, she never really fit in, as she only wanted to do
anything but the norm. But her family always accepted her, embracing her uniqueness. Others, however,
weren't so kind. Amelia thinks she can use her funky style and fun spunkiness to break out
into the fashion industry. She is hoping to finally find a place where 'different' is
well-received.

Amelia has a racially mixed family, from where she gets her exotic beauty. Her mom is
German, while her father is Phillipino.


CARISSA

21, 5'10

Carissa is a girl who loves to have a good time. She got into modeling by local fashion
shows, saying that she just looked at the girls on the runway and thought she could do that.
Only better. After practicing at home and through persuasion of her peers, Carissa decided
to go for it.

Carissa oozes confidence, telling herself constantly she has this in the bag. While she
loves to goof off and go crazy, she also loves to be in charge, and always be the focus of
attention. If anyone tries to order her around, they should watch out, she says.

Carissa knows that she has gorgeous assets for modeling, and craves practice and
experience. She even says she feels empty when not in front of a camera.


CHLOE

20, 5'11

Chloe is coming into the competition with a heavy determination. Her mind is set on the
prize, and she'll do whatever she can to get it. Chloe gets her determination and strong
will from her maternal instincts towards her siblings. After her father and mother split
when she was nine, they left the children alone, sometimes only checking in once a week.
Being the elder, Chloe made sure her younger brother and sister were always safe and fed. At
nineteen, Chloe was reunited with her mom who had a new husband. They now talk and are on
good terms, but Chloe knows she can never fully forgive her for leaving her.

While she was growing up, Chloe always had a secret dream to be involved in modeling. But
having to support her family, she never had the time to pursue her dreams. Now that her
mother is taking care of the family once more, Chloe hopes she can finally make her dream a
reality. She describes herself as professional, and sometimes almost sarcastic towards
others.


EBBA

20, 5'9

Ebba is a loving, pure soul, born in Denmark. Spending most of her life in her birthplace,
Ebba has studied fashion from a far, every now and then trying to pursue modeling in
Denmark. She had a little success, but only in local photoshoots or runway shows, nothing
big. But she wanted to be big, to be famous, to be the face of fashion.

When Ebba was seventeen, her mother decided to go to America because of a good job
opportunity. Ebba immediately willed to go with her. Although leaving her family wasn't
good, the Danish girl felt her dreams could truly be fufilled in the USA. Ebba picked up
English quickly, and after four years she could speak English fluently. (Well.. sort of.)
When Ebba heard about ANTM, she tried out as soon as she could, elated to have gotten the
callback. She knows that they will expect more of her because of her prior experience, but
she's up for the challenge. Ebba feels like this competition will decide whether she can be
a model or not, like an all or nothing deal.

FAITH

20, 5'9

Faith is a latina stunner who always seems over-the-top happy. It can often almost come off
as fake, but Faith brushes it off. She says she is just enjoying life. When asked about her
past, Faith commonly shrugs and simply says, "Why worry about the past? Enjoy the present."

Faith is so thankful for this opportunity and vows to give it 100 % of her effort. She knows
that if she really tries and practices, she can succeed in this competition and in the
industry.

KRISTIN

23, 5'8

Kristin is a quirky blonde from Texas, working as a masseuse. She never really had too much
of an interest in becoming a model, but when she found out that there was a casting near
her, her interest was mildly perked. After several friends urged her on, Kristin finally
tried out on a whim and was pleasantly surprised to have made it to the finals.

Kristin is a very laid-back girl, who takes any negative and makes it work for her. She
thinks that her calm personality will help her deal with the crazy modeling industry, and
that the contrast of the two will lead to her success.


LIU

20, 5'8

Liu is a Chinese beauty, born in Hong Kong. But before she was even one year old, her family
had transferred to America. Liu adapted to her lifestyle in California very nicely, making
lots of friends and loving the beach. All in all, Liu describes moving to America as the
best thing that could've happened to her.

In high school, Liu took a lot of art courses, infatuated by art and photography. Soon
though, she found out she preferred people taking pictures of her rather than vice-versa.
But Liu thinks her knowledge of art and photography will greatly help her chances in the
competition.


LYDIA

19, 5'10

Lydia is a big city girl, who feels drawn to fashion. Always sort of a popular girl and a
loveable ditz, she has enjoyed life. Although, Lydia says she finds being the popular girl
boring, and that she just wants to break out and do something new. Where else better to go
than the fashion industry? She says modeling is her definite dream job, and that any job
that she can enjoy is like a miracle.

Lydia is also a passionate fashion designer. While she prefers modeling, she thinks fashion
design would be a perfect plan B. She also thinks that her knowledge of fashion and clothes
will help her throughout the competition.

Lydia also admits that she can get annoyed at other girls easily, and just not want to deal
with them. But, she thinks this could also be a plus, because she will be able to focus on
nothing but the competition.


NINA

18, 5'11

Nina grew up with a wealthy family in a poor neighborhood. Because of this, she's always
been a little shy, not really knowing how to make friends. Her parents always expected her
to become a lawyer, or a doctor because of her amazing intelligence. But Nina had other
plans in mind. Struggling to break free of her shy demeanor, she decided to do something
crazy. As soon as she hit eighteen, she secretly tried out for ANTM, as modeling had been a
secret passion of hers since childhood. After she made it on the show, she was ecstatic, but
she knew she had to tell her parents.

Surprisingly, her parents were actually quite supportive of her decision, and upset that
Nina felt she had to hide it. Now, she's coming into the competition with a confidence boost
from her parents' acceptance, and doubts she'll ever sink back into her shy nature.

ROBYN

21, 5'9

Robyn describes herself as a girl who doesn't put up with nonsense. Her attitude can often
come off as preppy or snobby, but Robyn assures she's neither. She is very welcoming of
friends and never places judgement on people, but she won't deal with ignorant or bitchy
girls.

Robyn wants to become a model mainly for self satisfaction. Throughout her life, she has
never done something worthwhile, and she thinks this could be her chance. She knows that she
can do it if she tries, and that pushes her on. Robyn thinks that if her name became known
and she became a star, it would prove to all of the people that never believed in her that
she can do something right. And modeling is that thing, she says.

Robyn is also a proud bisexual, and a flirty one at that. When asked if she would hit on any
of the girls in the house, she said with a giggle, "No way... well, maybe."

SATIN

18, 5'10

Satin is a fiery girl from New York, who never dreamt she could be on ANTM. She actually
didn't go to a casting, the casting director spotted her on the street and told her about
the show. Satin was then very interested, and that encounter opened up the world of modeling
to her.

Since the castings, she has been studying magazines and keeping in with fashion trying to
learn how to best preform as a model. She believes that all of this excitement over her new
hobby will bring her ahead of all the other girls who treat this as if its the only thing in
their lives. "All of the other girls, they're just like taking this too seriously," she said
in an interview with a smile.


SIERRA

22, 5'9

Sierra is a beautiful Indian girl who thinks the show will be great for her. She says that
while she does want to represent her race breaking into the fashion industry, she mainly
wants to be on ANTM to represent herself because modeling really is her passion. Sierra has
thought about being a model for a long time, and she says recently it's just clicked in her
mind that that is what she's going to be. She says she's going to make it happen somehow.

Sierra jokes, saying how it seems all the years of dance and gymnastics she took as a little
girl will finally pay off. She plans on using her flexible body to turn out fantastic,
creative shots. She says that if nothing else, she'll try to step out of the box on her
photoshoots.

And that's them! First episode will either belater tonight or tomorrow. Oh, also, I won't be using a randomizer but I will try to plan the entire cycle soon, so my decision isn't influenced by you guys.

I did use references though, and I also traced a couple of them, which I'd normally never do, but since its just so people can get an image in their head I thought it was fine.

Carissa, Nina and Liu are my favorites!
I cant wait till the episodes begin!! lol

What program did you do your girls in?

BTW, I'm really liking Nina. A lot.

And I totally knew Robyn was into chicks. I saw her and I was like, "she's got to be a little bit gay."

I'm rooting for Satin. The pictures are great; I can't wait for the episodes!

To GuruBishisama: I used MS Paint, as I do for all of my pixel works. Although I also used GraphicsGale Free Edition for some of the tracing that I (am ashamed that I) did. That's a great program, it's like a good art program based for pixels. I'd use it for everything, but I'm more comfortable with Paint.

Carissa is stunning, my fav. GO CARISSA!!! Nina & Sierra & Satin are my other favs. Nina = gorgeous.

Amazing Artwork!

Alright, here's episode 1! I'm gonna have to get used to this, it's quite hard, especially to not make it long. Anyways, yes, sort of a long read. Also, normally when I say that "_____ says" I mean they are talking in the confessional. If I think it would be unclear, I specify that it's in confessional.

CUPPYCAKE'S AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, CYCLE 1
Episode - 1
Models Remaining - 12

The final twelve have been chosen; they are ecstatic. The twelve girls run down the street screaming, desperately wanting to get to their new home. Many of the girls are astonished by the luxury of their new dwelling, including Chloe who describes the house as more than she could’ve imagined.

Amelia and Lydia instantly pair up, as they became close friends during casting week. They find a wild pink themed room with three beds and claim it. They invite Kristin in, to stay in the third bed. Kristin is a bit surprised; she says she doesn’t think their personalities mesh, but she thinks that they will be fun roommates anyway.

Sierra takes her residence in the big room with six beds, followed by Robyn, Carissa, Liu, and Nina. Ebba and Faith get into a little dispute because they both want the last spot. Faith says that in the end, she just let Ebba take it because Faith didn’t want to get into a big argument with someone she could barely understand. Robyn is elated that she is not roomed with Amelia or Lydia, because she doesn’t deal well with craziness. Although her happiness soon fades when Carissa starts laying down a set of laws for the room, including a ’lights off’ time and a shower schedule. In confessional, Carissa explains how she put the laws in to place because she wants her time here to be as enjoyable as possible, and she wants to perform as best as she can. Liu says in confessional that if nothing else, sharing a room with Carissa will be funny.

Chloe is a little dismayed when she finds out she will be roomed with Faith. Chloe thinks Faith is absolutely fake from what she’s seen, and is one of those ‘smiley-all-day’ girls. Chloe and Satin discuss this while Faith leaves the room. Satin tells Chloe that it could be worse… Lydia. The two are both calm and level headed, much in contrast to Faith’s bubbly perkiness. Although Chloe and Satin are surprised when Faith seems very quiet and withdrawn, barely saying anything.

With sleeping arrangements all taken care of, the girls are escorted to their first challenge. Without any portfolio, and coming in their own hair and make up, the models must sell themselves and make a client want to work with them. They meet the client, who is a designer with increasing popularity. Jay tells the models that at the end, she will decide who she wants to book, and that girl will be featured in a photo shoot for the client. Ebba says in confessional that this is the challenge she has to win.

The designer says that Carissa came off a bit strong, but that she has a lovely face and a nice walk. Satin, she thought, was great and her walk was full of attitude. She thought that Ebba was good, but her look is not something she would go for. Faith was bubbly and energetic, but the designer thought that her walk was all over the place. She felt Chloe was very professional and easy to work with, but her walk could use some work.

In the end, Nina is declared the winner, as her walk and presence were deemed incredible. Nina is delighted, by the news, saying that she feels this win gives her an advantage over the other girls. Jay tells Nina to pick two friends, as they will leave now for their prize shoot. Nina picks Liu and Robyn, and the three are taken to their shoot. They are modeling trendy young outfits, and are coached heavily by Jay, as it is their first shoot. After the shoot, they talk about how this experience will give them a leg up for the upcoming photo shoot.

The three come home and spot a Tyra Mail. They call all of the other girls and Lydia snatches it up. She reads: “How will you deal with the causalities?”

The models know it will be a photo shoot, but they have no idea what the letter could mean.

The girls are taken to their set, which looks like an old torn apart city. Broken wooden houses border the dusty sanded streets, looking as if the town was destroyed and then almost buried. Jay tells the girls that today, they will be evoking loss, sadness, and complete turmoil. He then tells them about all of the recent natural disasters occurring throughout the world, including the cyclone in Myanmar. They are told to look as if they have just found out their entire town is destroyed, and they will be posed in the center of a road with a broken house on each side.

The girls go into hair and make up, where they are put in high fashion gowns with dramatic eye make up to look as if they have been crying. They are told that this will be a very edgy shot. Lydia is up first, and Jay is surprised at the amount of emotion she gives off with her face. Next is Amelia, who Jay thinks felt out of place. Chloe got mixed reviews, from bad at the start to amazing at the end. Sierra tries to be creative and innovative, giving a couple of crazy shots on the floor or on her knees. Jay says that while the poses were gorgeous, they were completely inappropriate for the shoot, so he’s glad that she only gave a couple of those frames. Liu was good, but a bit predictable. Kristen looked lost and didn’t connect. Carissa did nicely, but Jay wanted to see more variation. Satin was amazing, giving haunting, distressed looks. Nina surprised Jay in a bad way, he thought that she could have done much better. Ebba was one of the highlights, using her strong face to convey a very tragic look. Faith also did well, and proved Jay wrong who thought she could only be commercial. Last was Robyn, who did okay, but Jay thought she looked uncomfortable in her gown.

The twelve models freshen up before being taken to panel. The judges waste no time in diving into the girls’ pictures, and first up is Sierra. The shot is good, with Sierra leaning against a broken building and looking to the camera. The judges agree the shot is fantastic, and Tyra commends Sierra for taking risks. Next is Liu, who some judges think is boring and some think is amazing. Paulina says that while it is predictable and what you would expect, she doubts that anyone would complain with that product. Robyn gets a poor review, as her shot looks strained and tight. Carissa has a lovely shot, but Tyra says that her film was practically the same. Carissa promises to give more variation next time. Amelia’s shot is quirky, a behind view with her looking back. Tyra thinks it is great, because it adds in a story and engages the viewer. One negative though is that it hides the gown. Lydia is next, and Ms. J jokes that it’s amazing that a ditz can pull off such an engaging photo. Kristin seems very excited to see her photo, and is quite embarrassed at the turnout. Ms. J says that this shot is a disaster, with her looking distant and stoic while the whole shoot was about emotion. Next is Faith, who is commended for her beautiful shot, but the judges all seem to think she is too contrived in person. Chloe’s shot is powerful, she looks devastated, and moved. Chloe says that she was able to draw on her past to evoke the emotion. Next is Nina, who the judges say is definitely one of the better ones. Tyra says, however, that she lucked into this shot and most of her film was too posy. Ebba steps up to judging with a big smile as they review her picture. The judges agree it is a good photo, but worry her look might be too harsh. Last is Satin, and the judges are blown away. The shot has her legs contorted as if she’s weak in the knees, and her face is showing complete turmoil in a gorgeous way. Satin tells panel she surprised herself. The judges thank the girls and they leave while the judges deliberate.

The judges make a quick decision, and the girls are called back into the room. The first name that Tyra calls is Satin. Satin is beaming and can’t wait for next week. The callout then follows; Lydia, Chloe, Sierra, Liu, Ebba, Faith - who is told she could have been called in the top two if she presented herself less contrived , - Carissa, Amelia, Nina.

Tyra asks Robyn and Kristin to step forward. Before Tyra goes into her speech, she notes that the only two blondes are the bottom two now.

Tyra starts with Robyn. She says that Robyn’s shoot was uncomfortable to look at, she was trying to hard, and that it was too forced. Tyra also tells Robyn that her presence is faint, and she almost forgot about her.

Tyra then moves on to Kristin. She says that when she looks at Kristin, she sees so much potential, but maybe this photo shoot shows that she just isn’t versatile enough. She tells Kristin that she completely missed the mark on her shoot, and while her shots were pretty, they didn’t show sadness.

Tyra tells the girls that she doesn’t want to see either of them go, but one of them has to. The name that she calls is…




Robyn.

Robyn and Kristin hug tightly, and Robyn walks up to Tyra wiping her tears away. Tyra tells Robyn that if she just relaxes on her next photo shoot, she thinks she’ll do superb.

Kristin says that she thought it was fair, and that she was grateful just to have gotten as far as she did. She thinks that that it was a great experience, but she doesn’t see modeling in her future.

I've tryed to make a fadeaway, but the only way I can do it is with like photoshop, and this computer is weird so it doesnt let me.

As for the fadeout positionings, the fadeout will change entirely when they get their makeovers. I'm thinking about maybe just having them all in a line, or maybe two rows.

Okay, no way the new episode will be tonight. These makeovers are haaard.

Really sorry for the wait guys. But I guess an update is better than nothing.

I just wasn't in the mood to work on my show for the last couple days, but now I'm back into it and am working on the makeovers. Hopefully, new episode will be tomorrow.

Again, I'm really sorry for the wait, but future episodes shouldn't take long at all. It's just the whole deal with the makeovers.

Anyways, guys, I have a proposition. I doubt that I'll finish the makeovers by tonight (but maybe,) but I do have 6 out of the 11 done. If you guys want, I could post some of the makeovers early to at least give you guys something since its been nearly a week now. Or if you all would prefer, I could save them all until the episode so it's all a surprise.
